As I write this, we are doing the final preparations for the first TG Edinburgh since lockdown, the party sold out in record time and the waiting list is the size of the club capacity again, I’m feeling pretty confident that this party is going to be insane.

There were a couple of one off TGs in Edinburgh a looooong time ago, but in the format we know it now, we’ve been bringing TG to town 3 times a year for over 10 years.

We started off working in a partnership with an established local cabaret promoter who had approached us and was confident the city would welcome us.

Trains were booked (we learned after the first one that you really, really, must book your seats, standing from London to Edinburgh was not the best start of the weekend) and TG Edinburgh was born

The venue, The Caves, and it’s team, are a perfect fit for us, it’s such an atmospheric space, with 2 dancefloors and multiple dungeon and seated areas, and we quickly found our house MC, Gypsy Charms who is the hostess with mostest (and the leastess clothesest), the DV8 Dungeon crew and DJ Lord Holyrude, our Edinburgh family came together like it was meant to be and we haven’t looked back

We bring a couple of our London headline performers and DJs to each party to mix in with the home grown talent, and the formula must be working as we have a really incredible crowd that keep coming back and“bring it” every time.

One of the things I personally really love about the night there is the amount of people that add their own home made details to their outfits, much more than we see in London, there’s a real creativity, effort and thought that people put into what they wear and it’s really rewarding for us to see the anticipation for the night – the TG Edinburgh group on app.torturegarden.com has been climbing the walls in the lead up to this weekend, and it’s contagious, we can’t wait to open the doors to our Edinburgh homecoming – see you on the dancefloor TG Edinburgh!

Charlotte TG started working at Torture Garden as the “Door Bitch” over 18 years ago! She has been the General Manager for the company for the past 15 years, and recently became a director of the company. She’s got more stories that she can never tell to anyone than any human should have filed away in their memories, and more latex than any one bedroom flat in London can file away in its cupboards.
